Welcome

My Background and My Why

With a foundation of a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, my career spans over 30 years in the corporate world where I worked, primarily, in the telecom industry at AT&T and Sprint. I also worked at other Fortune 500 companies in the information technology, financial services, and biotech industries as a master trainer, facilitator, analyst, quality assurance manager, and consultant.

As my career evolved, I learned how to easily see the big picture when critical decisions needed to be made in the product development (PD) cycle. Doing so helped me save Sprint millions of PD costs.

Learning how to look at situations objectively was priceless and the seed for launching my own training company.  After an extremely painful experience happened in my life that was caused by someone’s selfish choice, I developed a heightened awareness of the enormous impact our choices have on others.

I also developed an immense amount of empathy for people affected emotionally by other people’s selfish choices…whether it was a one-on-one ‘incident’ or large-scale tragedies like terrorist attacks or mass shootings.

Wanting to better understand how people make choices, I studied hundreds of resources. This led me to the work of Nobel laureate, Dr. Herbert Simon, whose studies revealed the basis on which people make their choices and decisions: self-interest.

While good people make choices that are considerate of others, there are many people like criminals who make selfish choices that hurt thousands of innocent victims. That was unacceptable to me so that became my mission or, as is spoken nowadays, my ‘Why’: To explore how if we use a standard way to make choices, we can all help to create more respectfulness to other people who are affected by our choice. Wouldn’t you agree that is much needed in our highly diverse society?

Because of the wide variety of people in our world e.g. different cultures, generations, lifestyles, and religions, my research revealed the need to have a simple way that everyone can use to think of both self and others when making a choice or decision.

After studying hundreds of resources on decision-making techniques, I used my business process improvement skills acquired throughout my 30-year career to develop a simple process that everyone can use to make respectful choices and decisions.

As a result of my own experience such as actually watching three men fall to their deaths due to their unconscious choices and what has happened to women who came forth to reveal a massive amount of abusive treatment by men such as Harvey Weinstein, and Bill Cosby, I now focus on helping prevent disrespectful situations from happening to anyone, but primarily to women.
